Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sundae is a beautiful 3-year old female kitty who arrived at the HSOV on October 2, 2024 after she was found on Sandhill Road in the Marietta/Reno, Ohio area fending for herself with no apparent owner.

Sundae has a gray tabby short smooth coat, a long ringed tail, and an adorable face with golden eyes, a dusting of white on her muzzle/chin, and long white whiskers.

This little sweetheart was quite content to continue her catnap when we stopped by to take photos on October 3, 2024. Sundae was very calm, and she seemed to enjoy gentle petting and a soft soothing conversation.

Sundae was given vaccinations and wormer on October 3, 2024. She weighed 6.8 lbs that day.

Since nobody called or came looking for her, we will have Sundae spayed in the near future, and she will soon be ready to find a great home where she will be loved and pampered to her heart's content.

Their adoption process

Submit Application

The HSOV Adoption application is available at our shelter during normal hours of operation and may also be completed online via our website.

2.
Approve Application

Shelter management reviews applications for approval. If approved, potential adopters will be notified.

3.
Take the Pet Home

All HSOV dogs and cats must be spayed/neutered before being adopted and going to their new home.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process includes an adoption application which must be completed and approved by our shelter management. We verify veterinarian references and also approval from landlords if the pet will be housed in rental property. Home visits may also be required prior to adoption. All dogs/cats must be spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Adoption fee for dogs is $150.00 which includes vaccinations, wormer, flea treatment, dog tag, microchip, and spay/neuter.

Adoption fee for cats is $40 and includes vaccinations, wormer, flea treatment, and spay/neuter. Most adult cats (and kittens over 3-months of age) have already been spayed/neutered.

Adoption fees for other species varies.

We are a non-profit shelter giving refuge to homeless and abandoned animals in Washington County Ohio. We strive to make their time here as comfortable as possible. We work very hard with our rescue groups to move our animals quickly and safely. We do this because we work for those who have no voice.
