My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Hooch, the lovable Dog de Bordeaux who is great with other dogs. Although he may be shy at first, he is a playful and affectionate boy who has a lot of love to give. At 70 pounds, he is a smaller Mastiff who is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. Hooch would thrive in a calm and loving home where he can settle in and be his best self.

More about this rescue

The mission of the Raise the Bar-N Foundation is to rescue, care for, and provide compassion to abused and neglected animals, educate the community about responsible pet ownership, and provide opportunities to children and adults with disabilities. We strive to give the voiceless a voice.

My husband and I have been rescuing for years. We also do a great deal with the autism/special needs community. We are hoping to save more animals and help build bonds between animals and children with disabilities. My husband is a firefighter and ex-professional hockey player. I am an expert working with children with disabilities, especially autism. I am passionate about giving the voiceless a "voice".
