On 10/11/24 I visited Betty in her kennel. Her head was hung low and she let out a low growl when I approached. I offered treats which she slowly took. When I entered her kennel she let out another low growl. I crouched down sideways and continued to offer treats while averting my gaze. I varied between offering by hand and placing the treats close to me. She opened up some with a low tail wag, but was still unsure about approaching me.
I took Betty outside on 10/12/24. She was easy to leash and walk outside. Once in the yard, she did her business then came to me for attention. She was curious about other dogs but did not react strongly when they met her at the fence. I got her to trot with me, and when I sat in the grass she sat with me. She was again easy to leash and rekennel.
On 10/18/24 I visited Betty at her kennel. She was barking with a low growl at the front. I offered her a treat and she immediately calmed down. I slowly knelt down and offered more pieces of treats by hand. She took them gently and gave me a friendly tail wag.
On 10/18/24 Betty met 2 other dogs. She seems housetrained as she immediately did her business outside. She tolerated other dogs greetings and showed some interest in play. She loved being with people was very peppy outside of her kennel. Super sweet girl: What you see in kennel is not always what you get! Video uploaded.
