Meet Stars Hollow!

Just like his namesake, this sweet boy is all kinds of warm and cozy. He loves his people and was comfortable in his foster home right away! He can frequently be caught in someone's lap or sleeping nearby. At night he will want a corner of the bed to sleep on and when you're watching tv in the evening, he'll be right there on the couch with you.

Stars Hollow enjoys playtime too, and has made great friends with the toddler in his foster home! He's a very adaptable cat, mostly just wanting to spend some time with you.

Stars Hollow has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Stars Hollow can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.

Step one:
Browse our available animals online. Our website has more details on every animal, including any known history with dogs, cats, and kids, as well as individual adoption fees. Visit https://www.austinpetsalive.org/adopt

Step two:
Using the provided contact form here or on the APA! website, you can send an inquiry on the animal(s) you are interested in.

Step three:
Our adoption team will connect you to the foster home or someone at the shelter location where the animal is currently living to learn more about the animal and potentially set up a visit!

Step four:
After meeting the animal you would like to adopt, instructions for completing the adoption paperwork, scheduling an appointment, and picking up your new family member will be shared with you!
