My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gunner is your typical happy go lucky pup. He’s always in the best mood and ready to play! He’s full of energy and excitement. He’s got a lot of love in his heart, and he’s always so excited to get attention from people. He’s never met a stranger and has befriended everyone he’s met so far! Gunner has a profound love for squeaky toys, and he can keep himself amused for quite a while just playing with them. It’s pretty adorable to watch! He still has a lot of silly puppyness left in him, but it looks like he’s had some practice at sitting on command too!

More about this shelter

We are an open admission, municipal shelter serving the unincorporated area of Fort Bend County, TX.

We are the county's rabies control authority as well as being their animal shelter. On average, we take in approximately 4,000-5,000 pets per year.

The staff at FBCAS is small but each and every one of us is dedicated to making the stay of the pets in our care as comfortable as possible. Our hearts are in this and with every pet that crosses our threshold.

We are part of the amazing Fort Bend County community and we are always striving to work with our community people and partners to make our shelter the best it can be.

We can always use new volunteers to help us keep our pets happy and healthy while they wait for their forever home.

We hope that you will find your new love at our shelter - we always have so many to choose from!
