Sometimes - not often, thankfully! - an adoption doesn't work out and, as our contract requires, the family contacts us. We always back our dogs and will always take a dog back into the rescue if necessary.
Kobe is a dog who came to us as a small puppy, along with the rest of his litter and his mom. He was adopted by a wonderful family who love him dearly. However, as their baby has turned into a toddler, Kobe has turned out to be "too much dog" for them. They have tried. They have worked with a trainer. Kobe, however, bowls over the baby without meaning it. The baby gets scared, and cries, and it is just not a workable situation.
Our trainer went and met Kobe and his family and he agrees that the best choice is for Kobe to come back to us. And so he will! - as soon as we can find a foster for him. For everyone's sake we'd like that to happen quickly. If you live in CT and can foster or adopt Kobe, please fill out an application online: https://www.allaboutthedogsrescue.org/get-involved
Kobe is a FABULOUS dog. At about one year old, he is still very much a puppy, with puppy energy. He'd love an active family, and a fenced yard would be his idea of heaven.
He is a friendly, lovable, amazingly handsome young gentleman!
He loves people, and could happily live with children 10+ years old. He's a big boy, weighing about 70 lbs, so young children in the home would not be a good match. We don't want a repetition of the situation he's in right now.
He also gets on well with dogs of similar size, with proper introductions.
Kobe's family has been conscientious about training, and he knows his basics.
He is a pit bull mix dog and we will give preference to families with prior experience with bully breeds.

We're a 100% foster-based rescue. We do hold adoption events that are posted on our Facebook and Instagram pages and also on our website. In terms of meeting our dogs, the usual process is for one of our volunteers to bring them to your home to meet you. We always want to see how our dog fits into a potential new foster or forever environment.

More about this rescue
All About the Dogs Rescue is a small rescue started by a group of experienced, dedicated rescuers who realized we can do more to help together than we could individually. We may be small, but we're mighty and are dedicated to helping as many dogs as we can. We don't just take easy dogs. We have helped dogs with medical conditions that have required substantial treatment, and dogs that need training to become the best versions of themselves. We work hard to take care of all of our dogs medical and training needs prior to adoption. Our goal is to make sure they have much happier futures than they have pasts, and that they and their new family mesh into a terrific new family unit.
As a small, fairly new rescue, we're still building our team! We always need fosters and volunteers. Please apply to join with us - the more fosters and volunteers we have, the more we can do to help!
As a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, we can only do what we do for the dogs because of generous donors. If you can donate to help us help them, we'd be so grateful!
