Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
From his foster: Meet Moody! Once he warms up to his new location and surroundings, he is an absolute love bug and sweetheart. Moody looooves being pet, and could do it for hours. Despite being completely blind, he gets around just fine after getting a layout of the land around him. He has never once had an accident in the house, and navigates the litter box just fine. Moody is still young with some energy, and loves to play with crinkle toys or toys with bells. He has not quite figured out playing with others, so for right now he enjoys playing by himself. It has taken some time for him to open up and show his adorable personality, he just needs a bit of patience and guidance. Once he has gained a bit of confidence in his new home, Mr. Moody absolutely loves to share a space with his human. He will curl up next to you at night, and has finally discovered that a lap is a fantastic place to sit!
Because of his blindness, I do think that Moody should be the only pet in his forever home. It is also believed that during his rough first year of life he was attacked by other animals, leaving him with quite a few little scars. To limit any more stress on the little guy, I think that being the only pet would be best for him.
Because of his blindness, Moody would do best in a home without other pets or children. Because of some scars and scratches he arrived with, the vet suspects that he was attacked by other animals in the past and believes that he should be the one and only in his forever home.
From the Vet:
Hi! I'm Moody and I may be blind, but this does not seem to be affecting my ability to be a normal cat. My future adopter may want to pursue specialty ophthalmology visits for further evaluation, but this would be at their cost after adoption. I hope to meet you soon!

More about this rescue
The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on the bond between humans and animals. We were founded in 2009 as Secondhand Hounds. Since then, we have rescued over 29,000 dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in our community. Our organization has grown from a rescue to a first-in-its-class animal wellbeing organization... now The Bond Between! We continue to provide safe shelter, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities for animals while working hard to help them build a bond with humans. We also focus on supporting the bonds that already exist between people and pets with our pet food shelf, respite foster care program, and focus on social services.
We wake up every morning saying YES to connecting people and animals, caring for them, and helping them fill each other’s hearts.
You can help support us today by donating, fostering, volunteering, or sharing The Bond Between.
