Journey - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life!

Hello everyone, let me introduce myself. My name is Journey and as I've had quite the journey getting here, I'm sooo looking forward to having that family, that home...one I can call my very own!!

My story does not have a very nice start but since I've been in my foster home it has been the best thing since...well, yes, milkbones. I came from a hoarding situation. Me and about 80 other doodle types were pulled from a home where we had never been socialized, bathed, or been outside on the grass. So even though I'm around 4 years old, I've never experienced the simple things in life...until now. While I have made tremendous strides in my journey I still have a few more steps to go yet.

I will need a patient person to give me the time to learn all this new stuff. A quiet home without small children where my person would be able to work from home or is retired. A home with another 4 legged furry sibling, cuz through all this they are my security blanket. I will need a secure fenced yard. Outings to the doggie park or car rides are not an option as of now. Hopefully maybe one day in the future I'll be ready for that. These are a must to set me up for a win in this big ole world!

I am very affectionate with my person once I have established that trust and will be your lil shadow. I so very gently will tap your arm for more pets or bop you with my nose. Other doggies are my best friends where I get my comfort from, and I'm even good with the resident kitty.

Even with my ruff start I'm a really happy girl that is FINALLY getting to know what it's like to just be a dog, spoiled and loved!!!

I come in at just under 40lbs which is a pawsomely medium size to enjoy backyard playtime and belly rubs on the couch!!

PS - I have gone out of my comfort zone and have gone on a walk. I walk so nicely on the leash, staying right by your side. A few scary things but with a 'it's OK' kept right on going and I really seemed to enjoy seeing all the new sights.
