What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Good Afternoon, I'm seeking ways to rehome my dog Ripken, a 5-year-old Australian Shepard. We are willing to go through adoption process and find him a new home.
We have had an incident where Ripken has bitten a young girl. He has never bitten any family member, person that he is familiar with or guest in our home. We are looking to rehome him because my wife and I believe that we cannot risk this happening again around us. We believe that being placed in the right home, maybe with a couple or family that are not around younger children, like we are, would truly benefit Ripken and allow him to thrive throughout the rest of his life. We do not want to take the alternate choice.
We take him everywhere, ball games, the park, dog beach, hiking, camping, etc. He is a loving, well behaved dog. He is smart, house trained and will do anything for a treat, tennis ball or a frisbee. He gets along well with other dogs, our cat, and has never shown any aggression towards them
