Grits!
Grits is the handsomest and sweetest approx 10-12 mth old medium sized mixed breed. He is listed as a lab type mix, possibly with some hound and/or terrier thrown in for a little variety.
Grits loves everyone he meets, whether human or canine. He loves to play and hang out with his dog friends. However his personality really shines when he meets people. He did great with all the kids he met at an event recently.
He will sometimes put his head on your shoulder, given gentle kisses or roll over for belly rubs. Cats are currently unknown but Grits can be cat tested for an approved applicant.
Although a little hesitant to get in and out of a car he is the perfect passenger once he is in the car.
Grits is good in a crate and working on housebreaking.
He was originally found as a stray in the south with a broken leg, however his finder and their vet helped him heal and he doesn't have any issues with the leg now.
Grits is neutered, vaccinated and will be microchipped.
He is also heartworm negative, up to date on vet care and preventatives.
Grits will be a great companion and we think he could be a match for lots of potential adopters.
Interested? Please go to https://www.dogtownrescue.org/online-adoption-application to complete an online application.
An approved application and appointment are required to meet any of our dogs.
