NIBBLES NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Nibbles       Best Guess for Breed: Beagle/hound mix

Best Guess for Age:   1 year as of October 2024     SEX: Female

Approximate Weight:  29 lbs

Gets Along With:   Other dogs! Nibbles also has been great with the  children in her foster home. We haven't seen her with young kids or cats but she can be tested.

Currently Living at:   DC area foster home

Nibbles is Looking For:   Her forever home! This young girl has bounced around a bit - she ended up with a Florida rescue due to no fault of her own, and was transferred to Lucky Dog after Hurricane Helene hit. She made her way from Florida to Lucky Dog's South Carolina rescue campus and then to her DC area foster home. And you know what? She wants her next stop to be her forever home!

She wants to know who her humans are, to burn off all that awesome young-dog energy on long sniffy walks with them and romps in the park and all the adventures they can dream up. To enjoy comfy naps on cushy dog beds - and to Nibble all the treats, naturally! But most of all - she just wants to be safe and loved for all her days. In exchange, she promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship.

What My Foster Says About Me:  Nibbles is a playful, energetic hound!! Lots of energy! Playful and sweet as can be-- loves scratches on her neck/chest. Nibbles is so sweet, curious, and loving! She is friendly with all of the people and animals she has met on her walks and is great with the 8 and 15 year old kids and other dog in our home. She loves to cuddle up on our lap and snuggle us at night - and has been sleeping well through the night. She loves to go on walks and explore with her hound nose! She is working on her basic obedience and she is getting better every day.

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!

Go meet their pets

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.
