ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13912
Terrier/Chihuahua Mixed Breed
12 weeks old
Around 10 lbs.
Hello! My name is Blossom and I arrived to OPH on 10/11/24. I'm a super sweet girl at 10 pounds. (I am already bigger than a chihuahua, so foster mom thinks I'm possibly a terrier mix and could grow to around 30 lbs. as an adult.)
Observations in foster home:
- Super sweet, affectionate cuddle bug!!
- Gives cutest kisses
- Plays and entertains herself
- Loves playing with big dogs (Click
here and
here)
- Loves to crawl into a lap when done playing
- Crate-trained: Sleeps all night with no accidents
- Crated during day while foster mom is at work
- Like checking out the cat
- Making progress on house training. I give signs to foster mom when need to potty. I'm a baby, still learning and can't hold it too long. Will you be patient with me? I promise I
will be worth it!
I'm searching for…
- Someone who enjoys snuggles with their morning coffee. I will keep you warm this winter.
- Someone who won't leave me home alone for more than 4 hours, at least not until I am older. The older I am, the more I can stay home alone. I just don't want you to get mad at me if I have accidents or chew things I'm not supposed to when you leave me for too long. I'm a puppy, so I get bored quickly and when I'm bored I could get in trouble.
- I am looking for my forever home, not my for right now home. So as I get bigger I need someone to teach me how to be the best dog I can be. I am young and still learning. You may want to teach me some new tricks like sit, stay, etc. Professional training will help me bond with you. That sounds like fun!
- I saved the most important for last. I am hoping my new mom or dad will snuggle with me, play with me and love me forever and ever! My foster mom, again, says I am the most chill cuddly puppy she has had the pleasure of fostering.
Hoping to find my forever family! If that’s you, please hit that adopt button soon because this cuteness won’t be around long.
Please note that because this puppy is so young, it has only received 2 of the required 3 puppy distemper vaccines. This is very IMPORTANT because it means that the immune system will not be fully functioning until about 16 weeks of age. Until then, the puppy MUST stay out of public places where it could be exposed to the germs of other dogs. These no puppy zones include all pet stores, dog parks, and for apartment dwellers, areas used by other dogs. These requirements are strictly for the puppy’s medical safety and longevity.
This puppy is microchipped and up to date on age appropriate vaccines and monthly preventatives.
