My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile: Oso is a 5 month old Pointer mix,  (best guess) who will be joining us from Texas on 10/07. He and his housemate were left behind when his owner was moving so a neightbor took them in and reached out to our TX partner for help. They are friendly with dogs, cats and kids. These puppies are being raised in a foster home with other animals and will be great family pets.

Foster Update: Oso is a happy guy with the sweetest personality! And he’s oh so cute! He is doing great with potty training and goes outside in the backyard and on leash during walks. He is doing well in the crate, he barks for a few minutes when you leave the house then settles. He sleeps in his crate at night within sight without a peep! He even knows kennel when you point to it and say “kennel”. Oso loves his foster dog sisters and takes social cues from them very well. One is a small breed and one is large, gets along great with both. He likes to play chase with them and encourages them to run with him when he gets the zoomies! We are working on staying down and off things in the house as he is a curious guy but we can tell he’s already staring to understand. He is smart and will need an owner willing to continue training and have boundaries with him. He loves to be your shadow and is happy as a clam just to be along for the ride! He loves getting all the pets and snuggles you’re willing to give. His nickname is wiggly butt because he has the cutest and happiest little tail wag and dance when greeted. We have loved fostering Oso and we know whoever adopts him will just adore him! we are looking for a home with a securely fenced yard, if you have another playful pup in the home that would be a bonus.

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.
