This spirited young lady is always eager to embark on an adventure with you. Venus, an eight-month-old Belgian Malinois mix, possesses an enthusiastic drive for various activities. She is highly motivated by food, displaying her utmost focus when treats are present. Although she experiences some self-confidence issues, which manifest through her barking, she tends to vocalize her concerns without taking further action. Venus is making progress with potty training but will require a dedicated individual, particularly in the initial stages, to assist her. She interacts well with other dogs but can be quite protective of her human companions. Venus often inserts herself into group hugs, seeking to be the center of attention. While she prefers not to share her humans' affection, this behavior is manageable through training. It is advisable for Venus to be placed in a home without cats, as her prey drive can lead to escalating behaviors, starting with barking and potentially culminating in attempts to chase. She is an incredibly sweet dog with significant potential for someone who can invest the time and resources necessary for a Malinois.

We work to make sure the pet interacts with potential adopters and not allow the look of animal be the deciding factor for the adopter. There has to be an interest in both animal and adopter, making sure the pet will fit the family and lifestyle.
