My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the lovely Jasper!

Are you ready to welcome a bundle of energy and joy into your home? Come and check out
Jasper, a delightful mix of Husky/Shepherd, who is ready for his forever family!

At just three months old, this little guy is all about being the first to explore everything life has to offer.
Jasper's playful spirit shines bright, as he loves to roughhouse with his siblings and showcase his leadership.

When it is nap time, Jasper herds the furry crowd and guides them to the favorite spot, before nestling in. (Usually under the fluffy doggy pile.)

When Jasper is not busy playing with all toys and sibs, he surveys his surrounds and gazes at the sky, perhaps lost in thought about the great big beautiful world that awaits him.

This big boy is ready to grow, learn and fill your life with laughter and love. If you're looking for a playful companion who's curious about everything and loves to cuddle, Jasper could be the puppy for you. If you would like to meet Jasper, and see if he is right for you, submit a pre-adoption questionnaire at the link below today!

Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
