My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing this handsome ball obsessed love Slash. He is a Lab/Terrier mix right around 8.5 months young. He is one friendly goof boy who has a wonderful zest for life and happiness. But he is also the exact same type of dog who is always last to be adopted, we do not know why but between the color and breed his chances are slim. He is sitting at a rural shelter that is about to close their doors for good sadly and is praying for a miracle that someone will offer to help him with a forever home or even being a foster for this GOODEST boy. He is medium sized and does well with other dog friends but his love of balls is his jam. His tail wags a mile a minute when he gets to play fetch or even entertain himself with a ball. He does great with other people and craves attention or his one on one time with the folks who work at the shelter. He keeps his kennel very clean and does fairly well walking on a leash. We have one more transport before the shelter closes and the unfortunate thing will happen if we are not able to find him a place to crash for good or temporarily so if interested an online application can be found at SandiPaws.org for this sweet handsome young man

Additional adoption info

See our adoption process at www.sandipaws.org/adoption

A successful adoption depends on the selection of the right pet for your household and your understanding of your responsibility of adopting a rescued animal. Our adoption procedures have been designed to make sure all rescued Sandi Paws pets are placed in an appropriate, loving forever home, and to make sure all adopters find the right fit for their family. Prior to adoption, all dogs and cats will be given all age-appropriate vaccinations, including rabies, kennel cough, parvo and distemper, spaying/neutering, intestinal deworming, heartworm testing/treatment, microchipping, and monthly heartworm medication and flea prevention.

Note: We will adopt pets outside of Wisconsin if we can do necessary background and reference checks and the adopters agree to provide necessary follow up information. Also, the adopting family must agree to travel to pick up the pet and agree to transport them back to Wisconsin if they need to be returned at any time.
