Meet Chico, a 1-year-old, 12 lb chi mix looking for his forever home!

Background: Chico was an owner surrender when his mom had to move and could not take everyone with her. Chico joined us with his three year old dad, mister, also on our site.

Personality: Chico is a snuggler who loves to relax with his people and play with his dog friends.. Chico is a laid back guy who prefers a quiet stable home. He would do best with older children. Overall, he is an easy dog who just wants to find his best friend. Could that be you?

Health: Chico is up to date on all vaccines, neutered, and microchipped.

Training: Chico is house-trained, crate-trained, and is learning about walking on a leash!

Ideal Home: Chico would love a home where he isn’t left alone too much. We are unsure how she is around small children. He does love other dogs. Since Chico doesn’t enjoy leash walks YET!, a secure, fenced-in yard is a must to keep him safe.

Adoption is a lifetime commitment. After an application and a verbal interview is completed and it is determined that the adoption is a compatible match, a contract is signed with specific guidelines. An adoption fee (usually between $250-$500) to help off-set medical, feeding and Rescue costs is collected. The contract states that at any time the adoption does not work out, the dog is to be returned to our Rescue group for alternate placement. The dog is not to be 'given away' or 'rehomed' or 'taken to the pound'. If there are other dogs in the home, they must meet prior to adoption. All family members in the household have to agree to the adoption. No dog is to be adopted as a 'gift'. No out of state adoptions.
