My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Choco, a 7 lb chi (approximately 5-7 years old) looking for a warm lap to call his own.

Background: Choco was found as a stray running around a neighborhood with two other chihuahuas. A good Samaritan took him in but is unable to keep him long-term.

Personality: Choco is a chill little dude who loves to snuggle with his favorite people. He is a little shy meeting new people but warms up quickly. He loves cuddling on the couch, getting attention, and receiving pets.

Health: Choco is up to date on all vaccines, neutered, and microchipped.

Training: Choco is house-trained, crate-trained, and walks nicely on a leash.

Ideal Home: Choco can be around other dogs but prefers not to share his humans and would do great as an only dog.

Adoption is a lifetime commitment. After an application and a verbal interview is completed and it is determined that the adoption is a compatible match, a contract is signed with specific guidelines. An adoption fee (usually between $250-$500) to help off-set medical, feeding and Rescue costs is collected. The contract states that at any time the adoption does not work out, the dog is to be returned to our Rescue group for alternate placement. The dog is not to be 'given away' or 'rehomed' or 'taken to the pound'. If there are other dogs in the home, they must meet prior to adoption. All family members in the household have to agree to the adoption. No dog is to be adopted as a 'gift'. No out of state adoptions.

Adoptions can be arranged by appointment or our dogs can be met on the first Saturday of the month at Petsmart, Desert Ridge Noon to 3:00 PM.
