Benny wandered into a wonderful, cat-savvy, couples' backyard. They took him to the vet and discovered he tested positive for FIV:

This is what the couple has to say about Benny:
" We currently have him in our enclosed patio/catio separated from our cats. Lots of space for him, but he would very much like to be integrated with a family. We haven’t introduced him to our cats, but they can communicate through a screen door. He has been non-reactive, even when they hiss at him and he seems as if he wants to be friends.

He has not scratched the couch that’s on the porch, and has had no litter box accidents. He loves his cardboard scratching pads. In short, he’s a really, really good cat and we’d love for him to find a home, possibly with another FIV+ cat.

Please give Benny a chance at having a real home with a family. FIV is not something to be afraid of. Many cats live VERY LONG lives with this disease, if taken good care of.

The minimum adoption donation for all cats is $150.00. Adoption application required and signed contract, if approved. All of our cats are home-delivered.

The Cat Posse is a group of individuals devoted to rescuing and rehabilitating unwanted and abused cats in Southern California. We educate our communities about the importance of spaying and neutering, and we believe that all animals deserve dignity and kindness as we work toward the day when all public shelters will be "no kill".
