Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Nathan is a 1 year old, 20lb Chihuahua/Dachshund mix who is obsessed with being loved on by people and loves to hang out and lounge around! This little man is the sweetest, most joyful, adorable guy you'll ever meet!
Little Nate was taken to our local high kill shelter and found himself on the euthanasia list, despite being one of the friendliest and youngest small dogs the shelter has ever gotten! Small dogs usually go quick at that shelter, but adoptions have been slow for them lately and Nate had already been there for 10+ days with no interest. We had room and decided we had to give this guy a second chance, and he shows his appreciation for that every single day! He loves giving kisses and being right up on your lap. Nate also enjoys going on walks and following you around the house wherever you go! He's a sucker for pets and likes to rub up against you like a cat sometimes!
Nathan has met 3 of our other rescue dogs so far and has done great with all of them! From our other slightly bigger 30lb Dachshund mix to our 100lb Mastiff mix, he has played wonderfully with everyone! He gets very excited to meet new friends and is very respectful of other dogs' boundaries. He's just a good boy all around and deserves the best home!
Nate is kennel and house trained, good with other dogs, kids, and people of all kinds. He would love to have a doggy companion to play and cuddle with in his new home, but this is not required for him to be able to live his happiest life. All he needs is a devoted and loving owner who he can pour all of his loyalty and affection into!
Nathan is located in Houston TX but can be transported to most US states for adoption.
