My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*In foster since June 2024!*

Meet Kit Kat: The Little goof with a Big Heart

At 8 months old, this little guy may be small in size, but his heart and gentle nature make a big impression. He might start off quietly observing the world from under the bed, but it doesn’t take long before he’s venturing out for treats and offering a friendly rub against your hand. Soon enough, you’ll wake up to him right by your pillow, gazing at you with an adorable blend of curiosity and caution, as if he’s keeping watch over your first moments of the day.

As he warms up, Kit Kat is quick to rub against your legs, accepting pets and enjoying cozy naps on the sofa or bed nearby. When it’s time for play, he transforms, chasing the laser with boundless enthusiasm. His playful spirit seamlessly extends to his feline companions; he gets along great with other cats, engaging in gentle play that reflects his kind nature. He never unsheathes his claws, ensuring that his interactions are friendly and safe, and he’s always quick to check on them if he senses any distress.

Come nighttime, you’ll often find him nestled at your feet, a cozy reminder of the bond you’re building together. With his clumsy playfulness, abd kind demeanor, he’s a very fun combination. Kit Kat is truly one of a kind, exuding a unique charm makes him the friend you didn’t know you needed, and his soft little meow is the kind of sound that’ll bring a smile to your face every day. He’s a small guardian with a heart full of love, ready to bring a little extra joy into your life!

Kit Kat must be adopted to a home with another young, playful cat as he really loves the companionship of another feline friend.

Vaccinated for FVRCP. FeLV / FIV negative, neutered, and microchipped.

To apply for Kit Kat, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the animal is on our website, they are still available.

Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable cat, or final size of any of our adoptable kittens. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the cat into our rescue.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

STEP 1: Apply!
Download and complete an ADOPTION APPLICATION from www.waggytailrescue.org/adopt-a-waggytail

STEP 2: The Meet and Greet!
We strongly suggest the ALL members of the household come to the meet and greet. This is the time to determine whether a dog's personality is match for you, your family and your other animals, and if you have allergies. If everything goes well you may adopt the same day, or take a day or two to decide, but we cannot indefinitely hold dogs in foster care for you.

STEP 3: Contract and Donation!
Fill out and sign the TRANSFER AGREEMENT.

The DONATION FEE may be paid by Venmo (@WaggytailRescue) or Paypal (waggytailrescue@gmail.com, add $15 processing fee). Please put the name of the dog in the memo section! Electronic payment is preferred!
You may also pay by check (payable to Waggytail Rescue), however processing of adoptions may be delayed by up to 2 weeks.
If your new buddy is not yet neutered, a $100 refundable deposit must be paid at adoption.

Dog Donation Fees
(includes microchip registration, age appropriate vaccines, and neuter)

$550 for puppies under 1 year
$450 for dogs 1 to 8 years
$325 for seniors over 9 years of age

Please add an additional $15 when paying by PayPal to cover processing fees.
Add $100 neuter deposit for unfixed animals.
