My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Guppy (also known as Gup-Gup, Guppy Puppy, or Shadow). This sweet, wiggly girl is looking for a foster or forever home ASAP because the resident dog in her current foster home isn’t a fan of her presence.

Guppy is blind—she was born with eyes that never developed, so although she has been blind her whole life, she requires no additional eye care. She navigates her world like a pro, quickly figuring out new places and following people like a little shadow, always wagging her tail and looking for love.

Why Guppy is Amazing:

Loving and Affectionate: Gives the best hugs and kisses

Housebroken and Crate Trained: A perfect house guest

Gentle with Treats: Takes them politely

Loves People and Socializing: A star at adoption events

Playful and Smart: Enjoys sniffing out her toys and playing in the yard

Guppy was abandoned by the people she trusted, but their loss is someone else’s gain. She deserves a loving home where she can be adored for the special dog she is.

Interested in fostering or adopting Guppy? Email adopt@safehavendogsil.org ASAP.

Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). .
