My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Handsome Jerry and his siblings went through tough times when they were abandoned near a creek. Luckily, they found their guardian angel who gave them a second chance at life.

Jerry, in particular, is a soul of calm and serenity. His greatest passion is taking naps in the garden, whether it’s under the refreshing shade or beneath the warm sun. He can be a bit lazy, but who can blame him for relishing relaxation so much!

However, don’t be fooled by his tranquil nature. At some point during the day, Jerry transforms into a playful spirit. He adores interacting with other furry friends and has an immense love for toys: balls, sticks, leaves - anything he can get his paws on. His contagious laughter fills the air as he runs and plays with enthusiasm.

But Jerry isn’t just a playful boy; he’s also sweet and loving. He loves stopping to smell the flowers and spends time simply observing his surroundings. Every detail of nature seems to fascinate him.

And, of course, we can’t forget his weakness for cuddles and treats. His eyes light up with joy when someone shows him affection, and his ears perk up at the promise of a little treat.

Jerry is more than a handsome canine; he’s a gentle soul who has found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. Join him on his adventures and bask in the tranquility and joy he brings to each day.

Jerry is fostered near Chapala, MX and can be adopted locally or to parts of the US and Canada.

More about this rescue

Bone Voyage is a non-profit rescue group created to send Mexican dogs north to better homes. We work with the local shelters and with people in the Lake Chapala area that have many street dogs in their care.

We also assist individuals that find street dogs and don’t know what to do with them. We are all volunteers working together to try to minimize the amount of homeless dogs in the area.
