Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is short and sweet for Elizabeth, which is a perfect fit because I'm such a sweet little girl. I'm around a year old, so I still have plenty of puppy energy. I LOVE showing off my zoomies around the park - my friends here at the shelter say I look like the world's cutest little pinball bouncing around. I know how to sit and walk nicely on a leash, and I love getting a chance to get out and explore. Everyone I meet is my new best friend, both humans and other doggos. I've been the best girl in doggie playgroups here at the shelter, and my signature move is to flop onto my back in front of humans for all the belly pets I can get. I would thrive in a home that could give me plenty of outlets for my energy, like parks, walks and hikes. I'm also a very smart girl and eager to please, so if you wanted to teach me new tricks and commands or play games with me, I know I would impress you. After our adventures, I'll be ready to relax and cuddle, and isn't that just the best anyone could ask for? Come down to the main campus and ask for me - I can't wait to meet you!
A team member says, "Lisa is the happiest, sweetest little girl. She's a bundle of energy, but once she gets some running and playing in, she calms down very nicely. She's a good listener and very treat-motivated to listen and learn. Most importantly, she loves everyone and just wants your affection. How can you resist that sweet little face?"

More about this shelter
Founded in 1965, Animal Humane New Mexico is the state’s leading private 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal welfare organization serving more than 10,000 homeless and at-risk dogs & cats each year. We never euthanize based on age or length of stay and since 2010, have re-homed 100% of healthy pets in our care. We support every companion animal at Animal Humane with outstanding veterinary, social and emotional care, and love.
As a private nonprofit shelter, we receive no city, state or federal funding; each dollar judiciously spent is earned or raised. We are nationally recognized as a top U.S. charity based on financial accountability, transparency, and administrative-to-program cost ratios. Animal Humane is among only 9 percent of nationwide charities to have received five consecutive annual four-star evaluations, the highest possible, from Charity Navigator, including a top score of 100 for accountability and transparency.
