DOB 8/14/18
Hey there, everyone. I’m Hera, who was named after the Queen of the Greek gods. I’m a sweet, playful, and beautiful tortie who gently (clawlessly) paws at Foster Meowmy when I want to lure her over for some individual attention. I may even give her hand a soft, good-natured love-bite, but I don’t have a mean bone in my body. You see, after many years of my being deprived of hooman love, I’m luxuriating in whatever affection Foster Meowmy and I can now exchange.
I had been a stray who'd had multiple litters over several years. I was worn out because I barely had time to recuperate before I became pregnant again. A nice lady decided to “stop the cycle” and rescued me and my “fresh” litter, the #Greek-god-gang of four kittens. Unfortunately there was house fire where this nice lady lived, so we then went to another foster home before we ultimately ended up with our Foster Meowmy.
I was dirty, dehydrated, and could barely breathe when I first arrived, and the vet diagnosed that my problem was asthma. Thank heavens that Foster Meowmy is a very experienced HOPE volunteer who initially administered breathing treatments. I’m delighted to report that, after my respiratory therapy and my living in a low-dust, clean environment for awhile, my breathing is very much improved.
Now that I’m fully retired from being a doting momma, I’m ready to find my forever home where loving affection and attention can be lavished upon ME and not always on my kittens. Foster Meowmy says that as long as my new home is low-dust and clean, my asthma should be kept under control with no further treatments. I hope you’ll arrange to meet me! My heart has so much love to give --- all I need is YOU!

If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site this feline will be this week-end, email us at hope@homelesspets.net , and a volunteer will get back to you.
