My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Prior to hurricane Milton hitting the west coast, several fabulous felines were transferred from a Manatee County shelter to get out of the storm’s path. They are all so well-adjusted and loving, considering what they`ve been through. One handsome fellow is 6-year-old Blitz, who is out-going, super sweet and loves pets. At just over 15-pounds, there is a lot of him to love. Do you have room in your heart and home for Blitz? If you`ve been thinking about adopting, now’s the perfect time to make a difference in the life of an animal in need.

If you cannot adopt or foster, but want to help, our kitties are in need of cardboard scratching pads! You can order them from our Amazon Wishlist and send directly to our shelter.

To meet Blitz (ID A689520) or any other pet, visit www.humanebroward.com to complete a pre-adoption application and then stop by the Humane Society of Broward County located at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312. The adoption kennels open daily at 11 a.m. and appointments are not necessary. The low-cost vaccine and microchip clinic is open 6 days a week, visit the website to see what products are offered the hours. If you have any questions call 954-989-3977.
