My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hazelnut is a beautiful short haired orange kissed gray tabby kitten who has a huge purr motor and loves to receive and give affection to her person. She is moderately playful and is well suited to join a household with another cat to play with or be an only kitty. Hazelnut is quick to purr when she sees you and is a HUGE fan of Churu treat sticks and is quick to form a bond over them. Hazelnut rarely leaves her foster parent’s lap and side whenever they are near and is always purring the entire time. She is a big fan of belly rubs and is certified as an expert biscuit maker

Hazelnut is very friendly and has met many other cats and has gotten along famously with every kitty she has met. She would make a great companion for any kitty looking for a friend young or old. Hazelnut is fairly large for her age so we suspect she will be larger than average when she’s an adult.

Hazelnut started out shy but quickly formed a bond with her foster parent over affection and Churu. She now runs up to them whenever they come through the door purring up a storm. She loves lounging on every variety of kitty bed and tree and is generally very inquisitive.

Hazelnut is 100% litter box trained and minds all her kitty manners. She is a joy in her foster home and adds so much love. Hazelnut is an affectionate, friendly and loving little girl on the hunt for her forever best-friend. More about this rescue

Purr Partners Feline Rescue is a 501(c)(3), no-kill, foster-based, all-volunteer organization dedicated to saving the lives of cats and kittens in Central North Carolina — incorporated in 2009 by two friends, four cats, and no budget. These two women realized the need for a "cat only" rescue that worked with rural shelters — where cats routinely lose their lives. Purr Partners was founded to save the lives of those most in jeopardy with little hope of survival. High-kill rural shelters became the focus for Purr Partners, and that is still true today. From those humble beginnings, the rescue has grown to over a hundred active volunteers and a budget of approximately $175,000. At any given time there are between 100 and 150 cats and kittens in foster care. We have saved the lives of over 3500 cats and are still growing!
