Hi, I`m Wallaby! I am a 3year old Husky looking for his forever home. I have been paired up with other pups here at the shelter so I may do well with other dogs given a proper introduction. I find squirrels and small animals a bit too interesting so I would probably do best in a home with no small animals. I am already neutered so I can come home whenever you are ready!
I also went on a doggie day out on 10/23 - here is what my volunteer had to say! `Wallaby is a sweet big teddy bear. He does well riding in the car. He had no aggression toward other dogs, food or people. He is very friendly toward everybody. He is reactive when he sees squirrels but he gets over it pretty quickly. He enjoyed going for walks. He kind of pulls a little on the leash. He`s not that interested in tennis balls. We went for a nice ride.We went for many walks in the park.We chilled on the lawn.We also went to starbucks and I got 2 pup cups and I went to Mcdonalds and I got a cheeseburger and chicken nuggets. Overall he`s a sweetheart.`
I went on a second ddo on 11/9! Here is what they had to say: `We had a great time spending a day with Wallaby. We started with a short walk, then we took him home to let him run free in the backyard and get some exercise, which he really seemed to enjoy. He split his time between zoomies and slowly wandering around sniffing and exploring. He’s very fast. He wasn’t too interested in stuffed toys, but really seemed to enjoy playing with a ball or chew toys. He wasn’t a fetcher, but liked chasing it, running with it, throwing it, and batting it around like a cat. He was very receptive to pets and took treats very gently. After a couple hours playing, we went for a pup-cup at Starbucks on our way to the parkway for a hike. He pulled a lot while walking, especially when he saw a squirrel but pulled less when jogging. He was not reactive to people or dogs we passed, and when we stumbled on a deer he watched curiously as it passed, but was unphased. He joined us for a late lunch on the patio at Bella Bru where he seemed to know the drill, was very patient and settled down next to the table, enjoyed attention when other patrons stopped by asking to pet him, and really enjoyed a little snack of turkey. We wrapped up the day with a walk in the city. He met a lot of people throughout the day and was very social and enjoyed being petted, seemed good with kids. He’s a very smart dog, seemed to figure things out quickly. Seemed like he had b
