My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We have a ground transport trip set to leave from CA on 10/22 that we are personally taking our dogs on to the east coast. We have stops in OH, PA, NJ, and CT as of now, and would love to add Paul to our transport for the right home no matter where you are in route! Adoption fee/travel is due when we arrive in person with Paul present, as we want our adopters to feel as comfortable as possible throughout the entire adoption process ❤️

Meet Paul. He is a 2 year old, purebred standard poodle. He weighs 50 lbs. Yes, he is full grown and at a healthy weight. He is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, had a wonderful exam with our vet whom has cleared him to find a home all his own.

Paul is EVERYONE'S friend. From the moment you meet him, his tail won't stop wagging. He greets everyone with love, and kisses. He is a true socialite, and loves being the center of anyone's world, even if he just met you 🙃

He is also a hugger, and if you allow him to he will gently stand up and wrap his paws around you while he buries his head into your chest. He is so darn affectionate that your heart will never be left on empty ❤️ He is an amazing friend, and one your heart will never want to go without 😊

He is PHENOMENAL with all animals, dogs and cats alike. He does like to play, so if you have another dog he would instantly be their friend ❤️ He is wonderful with men, women, and children. Again, Paul is EVERYONE'S friend ☺️

He is house trained, and will go outside to use the restroom when needed throughout the day. He is crate trained, and currently sleeps in his crate at night. He will put himself to sleep in his crate which makes bedtime even easier 🙂 He does love lounging in your room on a dog bed, and can very well transition from a crate to your room if desired.

He is good on a leash, but does pull a tad out of excitement but we have been working with him as much as the weather permits us to, and it kept on a short leash with ALOT of praise, and communication he is very attentive to you and your expectations of him.

He is very smart. Almost too smart for his own good, and ours at times 😂 He listens very well; but there are times he is overly goofy and will look you straight in your eyes and playfully try and convince you why he shouldn't listen, and why you should instead just sit down and give him cuddles instead 🤣

He is full of life, and will light up the darkest of rooms with his presence. He is a beautiful soul, and one your life needs, I promise you that!

His kind heart, playful demeanor, and beautiful personality will leave you with one of the greatest friends you have ever had the pleasure of meeting let alone calling yours ❤️❤️❤️

He is AMAZING at the groomers, and LOVES road trips. He is always happy being able to go on any type of road adventure, whether big or small. He is that guy, that is everyone's favorite guy when he walks into a room and it will be our pleasure to make him YOUR guy!!!

Fun fact ❤️ Due to his best bud Phil LOVING to watch TV shows, Paul NOW also LOVES to watch TV alongside him. Just two guys, who are that intellectual that yould never know they were dogs 🤣

His adoption fee is on our website under his adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/_paul. It covers his vetting mentioned above, but also covers a slight eye infection we treated from him swimming in the pool (yes, even though he isn't a great swimmer, he is determined to learn because he loves water time!) which is completely cleared now. It also covers the care involved in the time he has been with us, his grooming costs, and his training we have personally done.
