This girl loves people and makes it known by running into your open arms and wiggling her whole body with excitement. Kushelle is a 5-year-old, 80.8-pound, Lab and Pit mix who was surrendered to the shelter after living as an outside pup. Kush has become a staff favorite because of her loving and polite demeanor and because she's a potty-trained diva!! She loves toys and will play until she decides it's nap time. Kushelle participated in The Babinski Foundation K9 Connection this fall and is SUCH A SMART GIRL! She's shown us flawless "sits" and "downs" and even learned to do some agility work with her K9 trainer. This gal will add something special to your life.
Kushelle is spayed, microchipped, and available for foster to adopt until she's scheduled to get up to date on her vaccines. You can visit her at the shelter Tuesdays through Sundays from 8:30 to 5:00 PM!

We strive to ensure a safe, healthy, and loving environment that will provide temporary shelter for abandoned, stray, and surrendered animals and to find each animal a new and prosperous home.
The Babinski Foundation is a private 501c3 animal shelter located in Pequot Lakes, MN. We are a safe place to surrender dogs and cats. We also are a stray drop-off facility for stray cats and dogs.
OUR STORY
The Babinski Foundation was established in 2010 by Donald and Elizabeth Babinski owners and founders of Babinski Properties which owns multifamily housing in Minnesota, Florida and South Dakota. He and his wife Elizabeth were working tirelessly to get the animal shelter opened which was their dream, but Donald Babinski passed away August 11th, 2014 before the shelter could open. Elizabeth continued where they left off and the Foundation opened in January 2016 in Pequot Lakes, MN. Elizabeth passed away on November 13th, 2020. Donald and Elizabeth’s dream was finally realized, and Donald and Elizabeth’s surviving family and friends will continue to work hard to fulfill their mission.
