Meet Padget, a kitten with a soft spot for treats and a heart yearning for companionship.
Just the littlest bit shy when you reach for his head. Despite his initial shy demeanor, he dreams of a home where he can explore and play. Underneath his bashful exterior is a playful spirit that comes alive with a little encouragement. He grows braver by they day!
He's looking for a confident playmate, someone who can gently coax him out of his shell and into the world of fun and games. He loves playing with his siblings and foster cat friends.
Padget's ideal home would be one filled with patience, understanding, and lots of treats! Padget is very treat motivated!
Adopt Padget and you'll gain a friend who, with time, will reward your patience with endless purrs and playfulness.
Padget is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
