Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rodeo is shy at first, but he has a heart of gold. As soon as you start petting him, he will explode in a symphony of purrs. He' s great at occupying himself with toys. He' s very lazy, and will spend a lot of time in his carrier napping the day away. He' s not much of a cuddler but he loves getting pets and rubbing up on your legs.
While he was quite prickly to his foster "roommate, " Lasso, at first, we've found that Rodeo starts meowing at us whenever we take Lasso away. Rodeo gets lonely!
I think Rodeo would do very well in a home with a mature adult cat. He does ok with his kitten friend, but you can tell he is a bit annoyed with his roommate' s antics. It sounds like he wants a calm companion to stay by his side. He' s a bit of a chicken, so any dogs our children would have to be introduced to Rodeo very slowly.
Someone that is home most of the day or has a companion cat would do best with Rodeo. I could see Rodeo bonding very closely with one or two folks in the home, whoever is around most.
Rodeo loves his carrier , where it is dark yet safe from any mysterious critters.
He has met our dog, but was way too scared to get anywhere close to her . He probably would get along well with children, but introduction would have to be calm, and on his terms!
All cats and kittens are rescued from the streets, abandoned, or pulled from at-risk list at city shelter. All are vaccinated, tested for FIV and FELV, dewormed, and spayed/neutered (if old enough). If the kitten is not old enough to be spayed/neutered we will do so at a later date, post-adoption. All adoptions require an application and donation.
If interested in meeting and possibly adopting our cat or kitten please complete an adoption application (link below)
