Meet Maya! 😍

This 2-year-old Border Collie mix is as sweet as honey (which happens to be one of her nicknames!). Maya's soft, golden coat and her adorable little grin are just the beginning of what makes her irresistible.

Maya is a well-mannered lady who's fully house-trained, polite when left alone, and doesn't chew anything she's not supposed to. She's so trustworthy that her foster family doesn't even need to kennel her! And while she's mostly calm and laid-back, she loves her daily walks and a good game of tug-of-war or fetch.

Maya's favorite toy? A squeaky pig her fosters refer to as her "baby." Unlike her other toys, she handles this one with extra care—no chewing or squeaking with thsi one! When she's feeling playful, she'll let out a growl (don't worry—it's just her way of saying she's having fun).

This girl is also a foodie in the making! She happily snacks on apples, blueberries, cucumbers, and *mostly* any other treats offered - Not a fan of strawberries and carrots. Maybe she's secretly a fruit critic?

She's great with cats, good with bunnies, and likely to be fine with calm kids, though she hasn't been tested with little ones yet. Maya does get very excited around other dogs, especially when out on her walks, so a harness is recommended to make sure she's kept safe by your side!

Quirky and charming, Maya communicates through adorable little whines when she's unsure or wants something. She's not a barker, though, and will happily settle in for cuddles after a bit of playtime.
