Meet Rocket: The Handsome, Hiker-Ready Companion! This striking 11-month-old boy is Rocket, a strong, energetic, and charming pup who believes he’s a mix of Rhodesian Ridgeback and Mastiff—though we’re pretty sure he’s also part adventurer! Weighing in at 50 pounds, Rocket is fully vetted, neutered, and ready to find his perfect forever home.
Rocket is a friendly, confident pup who loves meeting new people. He’s already showing off his impressive training skills, including "sit," "down," and "paw" (and we’re sure he’s hiding a few more tricks up his sleeve). Rocket would thrive in an active home where he can keep his mind and body busy. Whether you’re looking for a running buddy, a hiking partner, or someone to join you on outdoor adventures, Rocket is your guy!
While Rocket has a heart of gold, he is still learning the ropes and has a few rough edges that need some polishing. He’s eager to please, so with the right guidance and consistency, he’ll become the well-behaved, loyal companion you’ve been looking for.
With a little patience, Rocket will be the best boy ever—he’s ready to shine!
Fun Facts: Rocket has a big heart and is always ready to show off how well-behaved he is. He’s got the stamina and spirit to keep up with an active lifestyle, whether it’s a run, hike, or long walk. He’s still growing into his personality, but with the right leadership, he’s bound to be an amazing family member! He is great with other dogs and loves to play!
If you are interested in adopting Rocket, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.
**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
