Welcome Our 22 Sweet Western NC Cats and Kittens! These adorable kitties have just arrived from Western North Carolina and are currently settling in! While they aren't quite ready for adoption yet—they still need to be vetted and finish their quarantine period—we know many of you are eager to help them find their forever homes.

While we do allow out of state adoptions, the adopter must be able to travel to Charlottesville, Virginia and meet in person at an agreed upon time to take their cat home.
GDU does ask a minimum adoption donation of $125.00 for cats. This is a minimum donation and does not cover all expenses as we are funded solely by the angels and volunteers willing to donate time and finances. This minimum donation includes age appropriate vaccines and flea and tick treatment, as well as neutering or spaying if the animal is medically sound to undergo surgery. This minimum donation does not even begin to cover the actual expenses each animal has while in rescue, but does go directly towards vet care for our rescue animals.
