Meet Delta, a two-year-old, 48 lbs pitty mix who is a real sweetheart. She's got a knack for making everyone around her laugh with her funny antics. She gets along with other pets, finds comfort in her crate, and is doing well with her house manners. Delta is spayed but is heartworm positive. She will be treated for heartworms prior to adoption but she's happy to meet her furever person now and know what she has to look forward to when treatment is done. Delta will be ready to go home sometime around December.Did you know that when you adopt from the Maggie Society, your new family member comes with two copies of vet records. All Maggie dogs are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention prior to adoption. Your adoption fee goes towards the vetting of another dog or puppy in need.
If interested in adopting, please complete an application. An approved application from The Maggie Society is valid for up to one year. It is not necessary to complete additional applications for dogs or puppies of interest if you have already been approved. Please reach out to the Maggie Society or your adoption counselor for a meet and greet!

Application Review Process - Once we receive your application, we will review it to see if you meet our adoption criteria. If you have pets that are not properly vaccinated, we will decline your application. This includes cats that are kept indoors at all times. If you have pets that are not spayed/neutered, we will decline your application. If you listed a vet reference, we will call your vet to verify your information. It is required that applicants with no previous vet history have a fenced in yard. If your application is accepted, we will do a home visit. If the home visit is not acceptable, you may be denied or given the opportunity to correct any issues. All applicants must be 23 years of age or older.
We often receive several applications for the same dog. We do not base our decision on the order in which the applications were received. We review each application and make our decision based on what we feel is the best fit for each dog. We reserve the right to decline any application that is not in the dog's best interest.
Adoption Agreement - After your application has been approved and you have chosen your new family member, you will be required sign an adoption agreement before we can finalize your adoption.
Adoption Fees - All adoptions are $375 which can be paid via cash or check at the time of adoption. THE ADOPTION FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE.
About the Adoption Fees - The Adoption fee is a NONREFUNDABLE fee given to The Maggie Society so that we may continue our mission of saving dogs. If the time comes that an adopter can no longer care for the dog, it is understood that NO REFUND of adoption fees will be given and that the dog must be returned to The Maggie Society.
Adoption Day - When you come to pick up your dog, all adoption paperwork will be signed. You will be required to bring payment at that time. Please also note that you must come with a collar, pet-id tag with your name and contact information on it, and a leash (British Lead type leashes are required). All newly adopted pets must travel home using a secured seatbelt restraint or a crate.
