My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

2 year old female Rottie mix

Winnie:  Why doesn’t everyone play all of the time?!?  I have been told I’m very cute and have lots of energy, but c’mon, there’s only so much time in a day!  I’m feeling much better after getting out of that loud and scary shelter in Texas.  I took a long ride across many states to get to this place called Bozeman, Montana.  I take a little time to warm up and get used to someone new, but once I do, I will love you, give kisses and follow you everywhere.  I like to help with laundry, watching you in the kitchen or workouts by walking under your legs during squats/lunges and helping when you’re down on the ground by adding extra weight resistance.  I really like my foster brother who will run and let me chase him sometimes, but my older foster sister is no fun – my foster parents call her the fun police.

Foster Mom:  Winnie is a 1-2 year old Rottie mix approximately 55 pounds, who is just the cutest!  We got her out of a shelter in Texas after seeing a posting on FB about her being scheduled to be euthanized due to overcrowding.  We don’t know her history, but she was taken in as a stray.  She will be a great dog, and she’s already come a long way since we’ve had her.  She still very much acts like a puppy (mouthy, wants to play all of the time, did I mention mouthy??), and she loves other dogs.  She picked up housetraining quickly, along with the doggie door, and we are working on commands, eye contact, boundaries, gentle and quiet play, and stressors (vacuum, steam mop, vet’s office).  The e-collar has been a wonderful tool in communicating what we want from her, and she is learning what the vibration and beep means and doing better all of the time off leash.

If interested in Winnie please contact her foster mom, Paulene, at pashellman@yahoo.com.
