My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pepito is a true sweetheart who craves attention and loves being close to his human friends. The moment you enter the room, he'll greet you with a happy dance, weaving figure 8's around your feet to express his excitement at being with you. His affectionate nature shines through as he rubs his head against your hand, seeking head scratches and gentle pets. Pepito's purrs of contentment are the soundtrack to your time together. Pepito is FIV positive, but this should not deter you from considering him as your new family member. Many FIV-positive cats lead healthy and fulfilling lives with proper care. It's essential to provide Pepito with regular veterinary check-ups, a balanced diet, and an indoor environment to ensure his well-being. Pepito is looking for a home where he can be the center of your world. He's a social cat who thrives on human interaction. Prepare to be charmed by his delightful personality and the endless love he has to offer.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1941 by the third female graduate from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, SAVE is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area and beyond. Through six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Foster and Adoption.

The SAVE shelter facility has the capacity to house upwards of 100 animals at a time (approximately 75 cats and 25 dogs). The shelter exceeds no-kill benchmark standards and ensures that adoptable animals facing adversity are given a lifeline, a chance to flourish, and the promise of a better tomorrow.
