Philly Jenkins Rescue is a 501(c)(3) San Francisco-based Cat Rescue founded in 2024. It is dedicated to rescuing cats needing high-risk medical aid and helping cats facing euthanasia find loving homes.
Philly Jenkins Rescue will provide a medical history; each adoption will include microchipping. All cats will undergo spaying or neutering before being placed in their new home. Cats that have not been spayed are available for pre-adoption.

Adoption Status: Available for Adoption
In May 2024, Lucy was rescued from the Apple Valley Animal Shelter prior to her scheduled euthanasia. Lucy was the sole surviving kitten from her litter not subjected to euthanization. Following Lucy’s rescue, Lucy was transported from Southern California to San Francisco. Lucy received the necessary medical treatment for ringworm and an upper respiratory infection upon her arrival.

Philly Jenkins provided the following medical care: Microchipping, Vaccines, FIV Testing- Result: Negative, Spaying, Parasitology Testing, Deworming, Ringworm Treatment, Upper Respiratory Treatment and Care. No permanent medical issues have been found.
All medical documentation is provided with adoption.
Behavior Characteristics:
Lucy demonstrates a positive disposition towards small dogs and adolescents, although she has not been introduced to individuals aged 14 and under. It is important to note that Lucy exhibits shyness in unfamiliar environments, which may persist for up to one week; during this period, she may hiss and display territorial behavior. However, she has shown a remarkable capacity for adaptation. Lucy is trained to use a litter robot and has no reported issues in this regard. She is affectionate, enjoys giving kisses, and is highly playful, thriving in the presence of human companionship.
