Background - How did Philly Jenkins Rescue Rescue Dottie? A local woman from Turlock rescued Dottie and her two litter mates on the side of the road after her mother was hit by a vehicle and passed away at three weeks of age. Her litter mates were brought to the Stanislaus Animal Shelter in Modesto, California. Dottie was scheduled for euthanasia on 7/11/2024 but was rescued and transferred to Philly Jenkins Rescue by the Stanislaus Animal Shelter. Philly Jenkins Rescue is on a mission to save at-risk cats with high medical needs from euthanasia. Dottie, who, along with her litter mates, was rescued just two hours before they were scheduled to be euthanized. These adorable kittens suffered from an Upper Respiratory infection, were infested with fleas, and were underweight. Thanks to Philly Jenkins Rescue, they received the medical care they desperately needed and are now on their way to a full recovery. Meet Dottie, a ten-week-old ball of energy and sweetness!
