Meet Blackjack, a lively one-year-old Chihuahua mix who tips the scales at just 15 pounds! This little guy might have a dash of Beagle in his lineage, especially given his love for exploring the world with his nose. Blackjack is in his element when he's sniffing around, thoroughly enjoying his surroundings.
An active, playful pup, Blackjack adores toys, particularly when it involves chasing tossed stuffed animals. He’s a smart boy too, often greeting a held-up toy with an adorable play bow, eagerly anticipating the next throw. He’s also highly treat-motivated and takes his rewards with gentle care, making him a breeze to train. Walking Blackjack is a pleasant experience—he's easy to leash and walks cooperatively, always up for an adventure.
With an adoption fee of $225, Blackjack comes ready to join your family, having already been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and includes a free wellness visit to Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital.

Home Fur Good has trained adoption counselors to review and question any potential problems/issues with application. We do require an adoption fee which ranges for dogs $150-$300 and for cats $50-$100. All cats and dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and vet checked.
If another dog or dogs are present in the household we require a meet and greet prior to adoption. All members of the household must be on board with adoption. We do not adopt our rescues out without meeting person that will be responsible - no "gift" adoptions. We contract that if cat/dog must be relinquished they are returned to us. If there is a change of ownership we must be kept informed who responsible party is. Fees are non refundable.

Home Fur Good is a non profit no kill animal shelter located in the NE Valley. We take a majority of our cats and dogs from County, many who have treatable medical conditions and would otherwise be put down. We assess physical and behavior and work with the cats/dogs to find the best suitable match. It is our goal that each cat or dog that comes to our shelter ultimately be placed in their "furever" homes.
We also operate a low cost vaccine and microchip clinic each Sunday. We want to help community be able to care for and keep their animals safe. We do not charge vet fee only fee for vaccine and microchip. Additionally we have a low cost dental clinic each Wednesday. Check our website for more details.
