Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hi there! I'm Mollie, a spirited 2-year-old Shepherd mix with a zest for life and a heart full of love. I'm house trained on potty pads and have completed obedience training. I'm a quick learner and always eager to please. My athletic nature makes me a perfect candidate for agility or dock dog training – I love to stay active and would thrive in a home that can keep up with my energy. I can be a bit of a chewer so I will need help to improve this behavior, and it would be best to crate me when left alone.
I'm a one-person dog at heart, fiercely loyal and protective of my home and my special person. While I tend to bond more quickly with women, I can warm up to men who give me the space to approach them on my own terms. I get along well with large dogs, but my playful nature might be a bit too much for smaller pups. Due to my strong prey drive, a home without cats would be best for me.
Given my size and activity level, I wouldn't be the best fit for older folks or families with small children. I would do well in a home with teens who will play with me. I'm up to date on all my shots, and I come with a short coat and a sturdy 55-pound frame. My current owner, a lovely elderly woman, can't keep up with my exercise needs, so I'm looking for a new home where I can run, play, and be my best self.
I'll bring along my crate, where I love to sleep and retreat for some quiet time, as well as my two beds, food and water bowls, and a couple of indestructible toys (I'm quite the chewer!). I'll also come with my food, busy bones, and treats. I'm currently in Courtland, VA, but can be transported to the perfect home. Could that be with you? Let's find out! Fill out an application to get the process started. You must be 21 or older to apply.

Our Mission
Operation Save A Shelter Dog is a foster based, IRS-recognized 501c(3) rescue whose mission is to work with shelters on the East Coast by saving dogs at high risk of euthanasia or that have little hope of adoption in their current condition. Not only is it our goal to find furever homes for our dogs, but also to educate the public on the importance of spaying, neutering, vaccinating and providing preventative care for their pets.
