Hey there! I’m Dunkin, but you can call me Dunky or Dunk-a-roo. I’m a two-year-old Rottie mix, and I’m here to steal your heart with my goofy, lovable personality. Weighing in at 63 pounds, I’m a big boy with an even bigger heart. I’m heartworm negative and incredibly smart—I’ve already learned hand signals for sit, lay down, and wait, thanks to the two little girls in my foster home who work with me daily.

I’m doing great in my crate at night. I’ve only marked once in the house, and I’m very gentle with the girls, taking treats ever so softly. I’m also working on my leash manners, and I’m making great progress!

I love belly rubs, kids and other dogs. No cats for me please as I will go after them. One thing to note—I have a bit of a weakness for stuffed animals. The kiddos have learned to put them away, or else they might disappear! Otherwise, I’m crate trained, housebroken, and I don’t jump on furniture.

I have a lot of playful energy and will need to be paired with an active family who has a large fenced-in backyard where I can play ball and tug-of-war. My family will also need to be patient with me for the first few weeks as I settle in. I become anxious in new environments and may pace. The backyard will be a good place for me to run some of my nerves out and focus on games during this period.
