My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, I am a pretty white Shepherd mix with very soft fur, 1 blue eye, I'm about 2 years old, weigh 41 lbs and my name is Elsie. I was a pregnant stray when I was dumped in a neighborhood in Laredo Texas and a good samaritan brought me in. A few weeks later… surprise surprise, I delivered 10 puppies! Now 5 months later, the kids are being adopted and it’s finally my turn to find a family of my own. I’m vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, happy and healthy, and ready to go!

I’m a low-medium energy gal with a sweet easygoing nature, friendly to humans, friendly to cats, friendly to dogs, I’m just very friendly! I love to play and I still get the zoomies and I’d do practically anything for a bacon-flavored doggy treat! I love doggy toys and chasing a ball, and my foster mom says I’m a very fast learner. I’m affectionate and love a good belly rub and will snuggle beside you for pets and kisses, but not too many kisses so I won't be slobbering all over you. I’m well-behaved, rarely bark, already housebroken, good in a crate, and will happily join you for a walk to the park or a ride in the car. I hear the Eastern Seaboard is the place to be so Inquire about me today and bring me home!

Additional adoption info

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
