My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Brownie is by far one of the softest and most affectionate cats you will ever meet!
She is an absolutely beautiful cat who would love a person or family to call her own. You can pet her for hours and she never tires of the attention shown to her. She is a cuddle magnet.

Brownie had eye surgery when she was younger to repair the way her eyelashes were growing and the surgery left her with an expression that makes her look like she is angry, but that is so not true. When you take the time to really look into her eyes, you will see nothing but love and affection. And she is SO SOFT!!!!

Brownie needs to be on a strict special diet due to tummy sensitivity so she cannot eat any food other than her own.

Brownie often gets overlooked when people are looking for a cat mostly due to her expression which is not her demeanor at all. She has an adorable personality and would make such a great companion!

More about this rescue

Mr. Grey's Strays is a 501(c)(3) in Brockport, NY run by Joane Traber. This organization started in 2013 as just a TNVR program. As needs changed, she started taking in cats to adopt to potential families. In 2020, she was able to get a building where she could house all the cats and be able to save more. In 2021, she adopted out 400+ cats and had 200+ cats in the TNVR program. 600+ cats were vetted and given a clean bill of health in just one year of having the building, the building doubled the amount of cats that could be saved. Mr. Grey's Stays gets its name from a cat named, Mr. Grey. Mr. Grey was a special cat, he was nice to everyone he met and he let all the other kitties know that it was okay, to not be scared. Now Mr. Grey lives here in spirit as more outdoor cats find homes and more are vetted and released. Joane is an amazing woman and as she started taking in more cats, she also needed to find more hands to make sure the cats could be taken care of. She relies solely on volunteers daily to feed the kitties, scoop their litterboxes, and maintain a clean environment for the kitties. In addition to relying on volunteers, she also relies on donations of supplies or monetary donations in order to have the things she needs to care for the kitties. It surely takes a lot of caring people to make sure these kitties are taken care of.
