Hello everyone! My name is Phineas, and I am the dictionary definition of a gentle giant. When I got here to MVPC, it was very obvious that I had lived my life outside on concrete. I had huge callouses on my knees and elbows, and even on my shoulders and face. It was also pretty obvious that I wasn't fed regularly as I was skin and bones. It seems funny to weigh 120 lbs, and still be emaciated, but there I was. The cherry on the top was I was also heartworm positive. But the nice folks here got to work and now I am feeling better and loving life.

More about me? Ok! I LOVE my peoples! Even the little ones. Nothing better than a good cuddle with scruffins. To be safe, my Littles should probably be older/larger because I am a BIG guy and I don't want to accidentally hurt anyone. I also enjoy the company of my foster siblings. They are my bestest buddies. I haven't met any cats, so don't know what I think of them yet. A perfect day for me? A good sleep, food, some lovins from my people, a comfy bed with a chew toy, and then a nap. Wake up and repeat.

I am housebroken, and good in my crate. I am working to learn all my commands, but I am a little stubborn. I'm a Mastiff for goodness sakes. I can't wait to find a family that understands all that entails, and is willing to share it with me.

ADOPTION FEE: $400 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained)

I AM READY TO GO HOME!! If you are approved to be my new family, a hold fee of $100 is required and will be applied to the full adoption fee of $400 when MVPC comes to visit your house with me!

PLEASE NOTE: We are volunteer based and a home visit is required; we have a two-hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Exceptions for our ADULT dogs only, though rare, may be made on a case-by-case basis but we must be able to do a home visit. Thank you for your understanding!
