You see, I am the ePITome of S Texas.... and not for all the good reasons...
I was a young pittie, starving and pregnant and living on the streets, looking for handouts and a safe place to have my babies. And I am really one of the lucky ones, cause a young gal saw me and DID something for me! She SAVED ME and MY BABIES!!!
Now, let's fast forward a couple of months... I had my precious babies, they have found wonderful homes and I am NEXT!!
I am named after a kind of pupular food in S Texas but I definitely don't have to STAY in S Texas :) I might even be considered "mild" in another state that doesn't roast you 10-12 months a year :) Just a thought :)
I want nothing more than to remain someone's loving family member for YEARS to come, no more babies, no more HOT summers, and how about a LAKE??

Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area.. and her swimsuit :)

Adoption counselor will email you to discuss the inquiry/application,and give more info about the pet, the foster and adoption process..

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..
If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.
