Duke was a sad stray found wandering a rural neighborhood in the 105 degree weather of July... Duke had very little fur so was sunburned and so skinny he barely had strength to walk. But let us tell you, he recovered very quickly! He loves other dogs and has so much fuzzy hair, he is one handsome dude! And he is a little silly and happy and just ready for his furever home!
We have to tell you, that he responds to "Princess Duke" more than Duke :) He is just a sweet sweet boy who thinks he is royalty, and he IS!!
He wags his tail (ok, his whole body) is glad to see us and happy to play with other dogs- big and small :) He is the most loving dog you will ever meet. When he looks at you, you can see how grateful he is to be alive and loved...
Duke is ready for the home he longed for while he was starved and uncared for, you must be the best family ever!! He deserves nothing less :D
Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)
Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Additional adoption info
Adoption application required.
Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..
If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.

We are a TEXAS based rescue who transport regularly to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and will be transported to you if you adopt from us.
Our pets are posted on our website, and most live in homes with their fosters. We live with our foster dogs to get to know them in a home setting and to let them know that life can be good away from the streets.
We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dogs particular quirks and personalities so we can give accurate observations of the dogs you are interested in.
We know that dogs will sometimes behave differently with different people but we can give you our impressions of our pups and situations they have been in.
