When you see the name CARL, does it bother you when rescuers name the dog's after people?? You know why they do it???
Cause they run OUT of names and luckily they didn't name me Hashbrown or McMuffin after the breakfast they just ate :)
I will take the name Carl and make it AWESOME!
I am a chow, I am proud to be a black chow and i have the very purple tongue to prove it! I am a really really great dog, I love love my people and all kinds of them- not just one or two :)
I am great with other dogs too! I have a soft and gorgeous puffy coat and the chow personality that makes you want to just kiss me all day long! (ok maybe not that much but at least a couple muzzle kisses a day).
I am a medium sized boy who has just been waiting for my furever family who will love me for WHO I am- Chows are a wonderful breed, and my new family will need to know all about my breed. I am actually an amazing example of the breed- plus happy and loving and just a neat guy (chow trait :)

Adoption counselor will email you to discuss the inquiry/application,and give more info about the pet, the foster and adoption process..

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..
If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.
