Meet Leela
Meet Leela!

Leela is a 1yo female whom we pulled from a local shelter recently. The shelter had reached out to us after she came in as a stray. They were very concerned about her eyes. After the shelter vet examined her it was determined that she needed a rescue to step in and bail her out so that she could get continued care for her eye issues.

Leela is nearly completely blind, but don't tell her that!
Her blindness doesn’t stop her from zooming around her cage, begging for veggies or chattering at her neighbors.
She is a total LOVE during lap time with her foster mom, the sweetest piggy ever.

She is showiung signs of being dominant with other piggies so she will need to be paired with a super mellow adult or baby female

For two guinea pigs we require a 4x2 C&C cage or a double midwest cage setup. The 4x2 C&C cage measures 56" x 27".

Southern California Guinea Pig Rescue (SCGPR) is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of neglected, abandoned, and at-risk Guinea Pigs.

Our adoptable Guinea Pigs are cared for in homes by foster volunteers and our organization operates entirely on donations.

Our network spans the whole of Southern California and we work to serve every community throughout Orange County, Los Angeles County, and Ventura County.

We have over 30 years of combined experience working in Guinea Pig rescue and our goal is simple, save as many Guinea Pigs as possible, and place them into loving, permanent homes. We are passionate, small but mighty!
